high street

Working in the public realm in the urban High Street enables me to bring good painting and paint to more people.

I paint a response to place and context from the inside of the window. I then invite the public to visually respond by making their own marks with paint. Deciding what colour, what mark, what size, what tool to use may seem small but it enables people to understand and be a part of the whole work.

I love the magic that happens…inside/ outside , internal / external, experience / less experience, object/ statement , and the wonderful collision of painted marks that sit together, a visual rich dialogue of mark and paint.
